The role of carer - The Home Care Connection

Caring for adults in their own homes is not just another job. We want carers who have a caring and empathetic attitude and who really want to make a difference to people's lives. Having the right staff is of fundamental importance to us. They become part of The Home Care Connection family.

The right attitude

We are always looking for live-in care staff who have the right caring attitude and who share our values of respecting the dignity and personal preferences of the clients we are privileged to serve.

Live-in duties

Carers are matched with clients from time to time where they live in clients' homes as a member of clients' households. There, carers provide one-to-one care including companionship, personal care as well as more complex levels of support for mental health, physical disability and palliative care.

Regular support

Staff who join us as carers become part of The Home Care Connection family. They have their competency assessed and must be prepared to undergo further training. Carers receive regular support and supervision from one or more of our supervisors and are required to write daily reports as part of their duties.
